Approval of shop drawings
According to AIA General Conditions, the contractor and the architect are responsible for the approval of shop drawings. The contractor reviews shop drawings to assure compliance with contract documents. After approval, the contrctor submits them to the architect. Upon the architect's approval the contractor may perform that portion of the work. (Refer to AIA Document A201-1997.)
According to AIA Document A201-1997, the owner, not the architect, has the right to order a contractor to stop construction if the contractor fails to correct work or persistently fails to carry out work within the requirements of the contract documents.
What is a Dead Space?
A dead space is a room that contains a large amount of sound absorbent materials that can absorb sound waves. A hospital room is a good example of a dead space.
What is a Sabin?
Sabin is a unit of sound absorption. one sabin is equal to one square foot of a fully absorptive surface. It's named after the American physicist Wallace C.W. Sabine.

Luminous Flux is the rate of flow of light through a surface.
