Who Killed George Tiller, dad?

Monday June 22nd, 2009

T: Who killed George Tiller, dad?
Dad: Who is George Tiller?
T: I don’t know…she said
(on the Radio) – that someone killed George Tiller.
Dad: Oh George Tiller who was a doctor in
Kansas? He was a doctor who performed late term abortion.
T: What is an abortion?
Dad: You know how babies live and grow in their mother’s belly?
T: Yes dad, of course I know.
Dad: Well, a normal period of time for the baby to develop in mommy’s belly is nine months – right?
T: Yes!
Dad: Sometimes a mother cannot hold the baby because of a medical reason or other complicated reasons – you know… complications…
T: What is a complication?
Dad: Personal problems, difficulties of various sorts…complicated stuff – you know? Very complicated stuff – things we don’t know…
T: Oh!
Dad: Then the mother gets an abortion. The mother aborts the development of the baby; she stops the baby from growing in her belly.
T: So the baby dies?
Dad: Yes honey. The baby dies. So, Doctor Tiller was a Physician who performed this kind of operations.
T: Who killed Doctor Tiller?
Dad: I heard that an anti abortion activist
killed him.
T: It’s sad what he was doing but still it’s wrong that someone killed him.
Dad: That is very true, and I agree with you.
T: What was his name?
Dad: I heard that his name was
Scott.
T: Dad, I don’t wanna talk about this anymore!
Dad: Okay! Let’s talk about something else.
